As we all know, 2020 was the year of cancellations thanks to COVID.   With the new year, we are looking forward to the 2021 Flag Football Season-getting kids out of the house, away from the screens and being ACTIVE!

Registration opened on Monday, January 11 and closed on Sunday, February 21.  The fee is $75, which includes player’s jersey which is theirs to keep.  Fees also cover the cost of footballs, flags, other team equipment, field costs and officiating fees.

If you registered for the 2020 season, you may have a credit, depending on the option you choose last year.

  • The “Pass Interference” option gave you a refund, minus the $25 jersey fee.  If your child’s jersey still fits and they are staying in the same age bracket, you do not need to pay for another jersey.  You will need to pay $50 registration fee.  If your child is moving up age brackets, we ask that you purchase a new jersey because your child will be on a different team, therefore, you would pay the $75 registration fee.  If you are not sure, please ask!
  • The “Delay of Game” option left you with a credit for the 2021 season and the option to use the jersey.  Again, if your child is moving up in age brackets, we ask that you purchase a new jersey for $25.
  • The “TOUCHDOWN” option turned the registration fee into a tax-deductible donation for 2020, therefore, no credit for the 2020 season.  If you need a receipt for the donation, please request by email.  If you do not need to purchase a jersey, please pay the $50 registration fee.  If your child is moving up, please choose the $75 registration fee, to include the new jersey.

Please do not assume that your child will automatically be registered because of a credit from last year.  You must let us know!

If you are unsure of the option you choose last year, please contact the office.  If you did not choose an option by the 5/1/20 deadline, the Touchdown option was automatically selected for you.  We do realize this adds some confusion to the registration process this year and we are here to help!

SECA’s Flag Football League is open to boys and girls, ages 5-15.  Age groups will be 5 to 7; 8 to 11 and 12 to 15.  Weather permitting, the league will run from March through April on the fields of Memorial Park in Quarryville on Sunday afternoons.  Game dates:  March 7, 14, 21, 28 & April 11.  April 18th will be makeup date or playoffs.  If makeup day is used, playoffs will be held on April 25th.

Payment can be made by cash, check, money order or credit card.  Credit card payments -(online or in office) will include a 3% processing fee.  (The 3% fee has already been added to the online payment options.)

Payments and registrations must be received by the deadline of Sunday, February 21!  Please mail to:  SECA, PO BOX 67, Quarryville, PA 17566 or drop off at the office.  If you choose to pay online, you may email your registration to:  seca@epix.net, with “Flag Football Registration” in the subject line.  It is very important that we have a valid email address as much information will be sent through email.  You will receive a confirmation email once your registration has been confirmed.  If you have not received a confirmation email within 5 days, please call or email the office.
