Programs for our younger patrons

We feel you, all you parents/grandparents currently navigating that ever-so-energetic phase! The years are indeed short but the days ARE still long. And with the older kids in school/sports the littles are looking for something just their size.

SECA is pleased to be hosting some VERY exciting options for our preschool-age patrons this Fall!

Teacher Eileen Smith has put together three unique programming sessions that will start in mid-October and run for nine weeks. The cost is $75 per session and covers all nine weeks. Parents do not need to stay during the program but are welcome to stay if they choose. Here are the three session choices:

Preschool Puppetry for ages 3 to 5

Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

October 9, 16, 23, 30; Nov. 6, 20, and 27 and Dec. 4 and 11. There’s no class on Nov. 13.

This session will feature reading activities, songs, finger plays and puppet making. Puppet play encourages children to express themselves in different ways while using their imagination and to discover important skills.

Boredom Busters for ages 4 to 6

Thursdays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Oct. 10, 17, 24 and 31; Nov. 7, 14 and 21; and Dec. 5 and 12. There’s no class on Nov. 28.

The question for this session is what WON’T they be doing? Here’s some of what Ms. Smith has in the works: Magnetic Magic, Pumpkin Science, Topsy Turvy Tornadoes, Erupting Volcanoes, Taking Flight, Going on Safari, My Oh My Pumpkin Pie and Construction Chaos.

Fairytale Frolics for ages 3 to 5

Thursdays 10 a.m. to noon

October 10, 17, 24 and 31; Nov. 7, 14 and 21,  & Dec. 5 and 12. No class on Nov. 28

This program features reading activities, songs, dancing and crafts. Come share stories about princes, princesses and talking animals. Your child will experience multi-sensory skills, cognitive skills, pre-reading skills and socialization.

Note: We prefer that your child is potty-trained or able to wear pull-ups for two hours.
