Southern End Community Association (SECA)

Our mission is to create recreational opportunities for local residents of Southern Lancaster County by providing high value programs for children and adults. Your gifts allow us to offer these opportunities locally while also helping us keep the activities fees minimal and widely available to all families. Our organization is the center of the summer community with our outdoor pool and community park. We offer swim lessons, water aerobics, a swim team, and Lifeguard courses at the pool. While also hosting many summer camps (Day, Art, Tennis, Lacrosse, & more), sports leagues, youth sports and pre-school programs, exercise, and American Red Cross Training Classes.

We provide year round recreational activities for all ages. We maintain a 15-acre community park including: fishing pond, playground & kids area, outdoor pool, inline hockey rink, skateboard & freestyle bike park, basketball, beach volleyball & pickleball courts. Additionally, camps, trips, leagues, exercise, and educational classes.

Our Director

We are so thrilled to welcome Rick Kerns! After graduating from York College with a degree in Sport Management and minor in Human Resource Management, Rick spent the first decade of his career working with before/after school programs. Seven of those years included running programs for Lancaster YWCA. Rick comes to SECA from the Hotel Hershey,  where he spent four years as director of recreation.  Rick is an avid runner and also brings plenty of personal perspective as to what may most interest SECA's youngest patrons. He and his wife have three children under the age of six. Please join us in welcoming Rick to our community!
