FAMILY ADVENTURES Program:

Bring your family out for 2 hours of FAMILY fun!! Enjoy an evening connecting with family and friends creating memories. We will work on team building, communication, and building a strong relationship while having FUN!! This program runs for 8 weeks on Thursday afternoons at SECA. We hope to see you and your family at 3pm!!
Program Fee: $20 per family for 8 weeks or $5 per night
Dates: June 22- August 15, 2017

2017 Destination Trip-
“American Cowboy Country featuring Wyoming and South Dakota”

Scheduled for Sept 19-26, 2017. This 8 day trip includes: air-fare, hotels, 11 meals, hotel transfers, gratuities, and fees plus tours. SPORTS:

Pickleball

Pickleball is becoming one of the most popular activities for older Americans. It is a court sport that has been described as a combination of tennis, ping-pong, and badminton. It is played with a perforated plastic ball and paddles. This is a FUN league; there will be no official standings or playoffs.

Fee: $3/ day    Must bring your own paddle!
Location: SECA basketball courts  Dates: April 2017

Men’s Winter Basketball League

It’s time to join SECA for the 2017 Men’s Winter Basketball League. This will be a Five-on-Five league on a full court under college rules. This league offers competition, fun, and a great way to socialize while staying in shape. The indoor league season is ten weeks with 2 weeks of playoffs. Sign up today!
Location: Solanco High School Gym Times: Tuesday nights from 6-10pm.
League begins:  February 14th Cost: $650+ per team.
Team Captains Meeting: December 8th at 7:00 PM at SECA Center

Men’s Spring Softball League-

Softball will be back in Solanco this spring! Las years league was  a success and we are looking forward to the league expanding this year to 6 or 8 teams. All games will be played at 8 PM under the lights at Memorial Park, Quarryville. Games will begin in May and end in July. Anyone interested in playing or sponsoring a team should attend an organizational meeting on Monday, February 20th at 7 PM at the SECA Center. If you are unable to attend this meeting, but are interested in participatin in this league contact SECA at (717) 806- 0123.

Men’s Spring Hockey League(16 yrs old – Adults) 

Join SECA for an inline hockey league under the lights in Legion Memorial Park. The league is going to be set up as one division with three 10 minute time periods with a stopped clock. You are able to roster a maximum 7 skaters and 1 goaltender. All skaters must be at least 16 years old (with guardian signature if under 18). The league will consist of 12 games and a playoff competition. Games will begin the week of March 21st. Any questions please call (717) 806-0123. Cost: $200 per team plus $10 a game referee fee. ($$ & Rosters due at captain’s mtg.) Team Captain’s Meeting: Mon., March 6th at 7PM– SECA Building.

Summer Beach Volleyball League – (16 yrs old – Adults)

Join SECA for its first ever 6-on-6 volleyball league. Sign up your team for this intermediate league played on our beach volleyball court by the pool. We will play a Standard co-ed male to female ratio (4 men to 2 females). Each match will consist of a maximum of 3 games or 50 minutes whatever comes first.  Please contact SECA for rules, rosters and team registration form. Season starts in June, dates determined at Captains Meeting due to weather.
Team Fees: $200 a team plus $10 a game for the referee.
Registration Deadline: May 19, 2017

R.I.P.P.E.D. 2017  WINTER & SPRING SCHEDULE

Rhythm, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, Diet & Nutrition – Improve coordination while enhancing musicality, and increase self-esteem through body awareness and fluidity. Super fun high-intensity conditioning with bouts of active recovery to improve speed and cardiovascular capacity, performed with a certain amount of playfulness. Mental and physical fortitude. Simple martial arts routines teach kids basic self-defense techniques while helping them to a musical beat, understand choreography and acquire new and exciting skills. There will also be helpful tips on how to eat healthy, how to stabilize blood sugar and simply feel and perform better using proper nutrition. We offer recipes, snack ideas and meal makeovers to encourage a healthy awareness about food choices.

Pilates

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. In addition, Pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body’s core or “powerhouse” (torso). People who do Pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health.

Bottoms Up!

Squats, Lunge, and Lift your lower half to become your Best Half! Join Jennifer Buttriss for 45 minutes of body weighted exercises to strengthen tone and tighten your legs, hips, and bottom. No prior experience necessary and all levels of fitness welcome. Please bring a yoga or exercise mat as none are provided.
Time: Thursdays 5:30- 6:15 PM   Dates: (8 wks session)  Jan. 12 – Feb. 2, 2017
Fee: $55 for 8 wks or $8 per calss walk-in fee. (exact change recommended)

YOGA!

Relax your, mind, body, and spirit. This yoga class is for all levels.  Just bring your own mat and join Jennifer Carter for this relaxing class.
Wednesdays starting April 5th until the end of May.

Senior Aquatics:

Thank you for another great summer ladies and gentlemen.  We look forward to seeing you again next summer in 2017!
Classes will be held: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning in July – August class starts at 9am at the SECA Pool. Participants 60 years old and older can take this class for FREE. The class is sponsored by the Office of the Aging. This class uses the dynamics of stretching coupled with the water’s natural resistance for toning and core strengthening while enhancing energy.

Karate – (Ages 8 thru Adult).

Classes held Tuesdays and Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00PM at the SECA Building Upper Level.

Two Lap Lanes are always available for lap swimming. Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day!!  No need to be a member we have a daily admission fee.
